Describe your role at Hungerford Technology
In my role, I focus on aligning customer environments and networks with Hungerford’s Standards. My day-to-day includes running customer audits, building out compliance reporting, and developing automation to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, with the goal of keeping customer environments secure, manageable, and up to date.
What is an accomplishment you are especially proud of?
I’ve started to implement an automated data gathering process which both saves time and serves up more accurate information for monthly customer reports.
Tell us a little about yourself outside of work
My family consists of my wife Abby, and (at time of writing) we’re expecting our first child — a daughter — any day now! At home, we’ve also got Clint, a 110-lb Doberman/Pyrenees mix, and Stella, a Sheepadoodle. When I’m off the clock, you’ll find me at the family cottage, playing board games, or slowly working through my video game backlog.
What’s a fun fact that most people may not know about you?
I have some webbed toes. The jury is still out on whether they make me swim faster or not though.
What is the best IT tip or advice you would share with others?
Write your documentation now, not later. “I’ll remember” never holds up and that knowledge can’t be used by anybody else until it’s written down.
