How to Request Employee Offboarding
When an employee leaves your organization, it’s important to deactivate work-related accounts to prevent unauthorized access and avoid data leakage or property theft.
Additionally, you don’t want emails sent to your ex-employee from clients or partners to go unanswered.
Here are three ways to request employee offboarding.
3 Ways to Request Employee Onboarding
HT Support App
Using the HT support app is the fastest and easiest way to request employee offboarding. Simply start a chat using the desktop app or the app in Microsoft Teams or Outlook.
You can say something like: “I have an employee leaving. Can you help me take care of their IT offboarding?”
The chat will automatically walk you through the process, and a technician will reach out if they need additional information.
Email Support Desk
You also can send us an email at support@hungerford.tech. If you send us an email, please provide us with the following:
- The full name of the employee who is leaving.
- Their email address or username.
- The last working day (effective date) for deactivation.
- Should their access be deactivated immediately on their last day, or at a specific time?
- Do you need their emails forwarded to someone else? If so, to which address?
- Are there any special instructions or data that need to be transferred?
Please give us at least one week’s notice for offboarding requests. We understand some requests will be more urgent, and we’ll do our best to accommodate those.
Providing this information in your initial email will ensure a smooth process, reducing the back-and-forth required to gather everything we need.
Call Support Desk
Lastly, you can call our support desk at (616) 949-4020. This is the slowest method because our technicians may be unable to answer the phone while assisting other clients. But it is an option if you are away from your computer.
